Anti-SUV activism Living in California, it's always bothered me that all these people rail against smoking, saying it's bad for their lungs, when they own a gas guzzling environmental destroyer, otherwise known as an SUV. This San Francisco based duo has come up with a way to embarass and piss off SUV owners, and it's not even really that illegal.

NORML The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws has many good resources, including a list of all the chapters of activists in the nation. Their site was actually the reason I began to be really interested in the reasons that marijuana has been made illegal, and they make some great points about the viability of hemp as a commercial crop.

Cannabis News Regardless of whether you want to use marijuana, or what you want to use it for, it cannot be discounted that it has some amazing medical properties. Interesting, then, that some of the politicans who would come down hardest against marijuana use are those that get donations from pharmeceutical companies that might be made irrelevent by medical marijuana. HRC is a great place to go for help with gay/lesbian legislature. Tthat's about all though, because, historically, they have chosen their battle to exclude transgender issues. However, they have a really easy to use action site, where you can attach your name to a form or a self-written letter to be sent to your representives about current bills and laws.

GLAAD I have been lucky enough to fundraise for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defemation. They have railed against Dr. Laura and Eminem, and they have assisted popular media in portraying a sensitive and accurate portrayal of the LGBT community in movies and television. It is mportant to remember that what the majority sees and hears, is generally what the majority thinks.

The Victory Fund is a complete listing of LGBT political candidates that are out and running for office. No one cares more about your concerns than someone who has felt them.
