I know you could probably die of shock, that I'm updating twice in one week, but I figure this is my last chance before I start school again in January. So, here is a 10 page comic that was created as a submission for the True Porn anthology. Along with the rest of my comics, it is not work safe, and it is even more than usually not family-friendly. Especially if you're my family. Hear that? If you're related to me by blood or marriage, it's probably not a good idea to read this comic. No, it's certainly not. Do everybody a favor, and just go look at this instead.
We will now return to our usual shedule of a lazy and random updates.

I have had tons of art sitting around waiting to be scanned and uploaded into the art section of this website. I get really behind, and instead of working on the tons of art I should be uploading, I decided to do a sort of Holiday update.
There is now an art update, full of holiday cards that Drew and I made to send to our friends and family. I wanted to scan them before I sent them out, so it's quite possible that you will see this here, and feel like you aren't going to get a card. Never fear, they are just really, really late.

It's been less than 2 months than my last update. Okay, so, granted that's nto as good as my goal of twice a month, but I'm getting better, and I think you should all go and buy lots of stuff to congratulate me.
Actually, I've been working on lots of stuff lately, but a lot of it isn't comics. I need to figure out how to get it online, but once I do you'll be amazed at how prolific I've been. Really. I promise.
Anyway, this most recent comic is from some stuff I did for the new issue of The Cult of the One Eyed Cat. It looks like this will be an ongoing thing, and some of the work I do will only go up there until I collect it in print form. Just so you know, other stuff I'm working on includes a ten page comic for an anthology, and a new shirt design. Also, a couple people have asked me when I'm going to start journalling again. The short answer is, I just don't know. But thanks for checking in, and letting me know you care!

I have this whole new schedule I've worked out for myself, where I am supposed to do at least 2 one page comics every month, and archive my journals on the first Monday of every month. We'll see how all that works out, but I did do a new one page comic for ya today. It's actually based off a true life experience of one of my friends, since I don't have any true life experiences of my own, any more.
And, because I am feeling motivated, I also uploaded something new into the art section. I have a goal to actually update that more than once every year, but that might be aiming too high. Anyway, Go check it out!

Most of you probably don't care but I just archived 6 months worth of journal entries. This means that there is no longer an entire year's worth of journals on the 'today' page. I also fixed the java problem on the archives that was making journal entries pop up when you moused over the date, instead of clicking on it. The whole freaking thing took me about 4 hours. But, it needed to be done. And, this time I tested the entire thing so there aren't any of those annoying problems, like mousing over what looks like a link but isn't, because of left over code that hasn't been entirely deleted. Gimme a break, here. I mean, it's a learning process, right?

This may be a limited time offer, so hurry! Go look at my new comic, Armistice. This is my submission to the 2004 Expo anthology. If it gets in, I'll probably take it off IP.com. Here's a couple pieces of trivia about this story:

-The theme for the expo submission was 'war'.
-Though I have used computer lettering on one comic before, I have never used it on a story.
-I actually had en entirely different story written and laid out for this submission, and changed it at the last minute, spending 14 hours in one day to get this story ready for submission instead of the original.

It's finally done. Seriously. I tested it and it seems to work. I'm on my way to world domination!
I'm speaking, of course, about my new online store. You can get comics, tee shirts, buttons, pins and patches of all manner from the IP.com shop. As I said, it's a brand new thing, so if you run into any problems, please e-mail me right away so I can fix it. Also, right now it's set up to only accept Paypal payments. There's several reasons for this. The first one is that they have a secure server and credit card processer. They don't sell customer information, and they accept all major credit cards, as well as checking accounts, for those of you who don't have credit cards. The other reason is that they don't charge any membership or set up fee, which means that I can sell stuff for less by using them.
For those of you who have seen me at APE, you'll notice the rates are a little higher than what I sell in person. However, the prices include shipping charges, taxes and processing costs. It translates to only a couple extra dollars, and in some cases won't completely cover the cost of shipping, but I figure it all kind of evens out. Anyway, it's up, it's there, and the merchandise is all really high quality stuff. The stickers were made by a couple different places, the tee shirts and patches were made by the fantastic crew at www.angrygirl.org, and the buttons and comics were handmade by me (with special thanks to benjones, Devin, and Drew). So, check it out, buy some stuff, or just bask in the beauty of my online store!

You can hardly contain your joy. 2 new comics in one month! What will the neighbors think?!
So, first, I re-formatted the index page so it makes more sense. Now, the newest comic is the one on the top left, so it's the first one you logically see when reading, instead of the last. Also, the new comic I posted is actually one from a collection I just finished. It's a print zine version of the Cult of the One Eyed Cat, with essays by two great and funny writers; my friend Kat and Wil Wheaton. It is, right now, only available at the Creation convention in Pasadena, but that's just the special first edition printing. It's 24 pages of essays, comic and clever illustrations, and I'm exceedingly proud of it. So there.

First new comic since July! Wow, are you impressed or what? Don't worry, there will be more soon! This one was part of a group effort I became involved with because of woman I met at the table next to mine at APE. I know I owe you an update about that, but here's the important part; Melissa was working on a zine that talks about the issue of students in crisis because of the budget cuts and increase in fees. So, she invited me to do a one page contribution, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. You can see more about Melissa, and her other projects at Dissave Press.
Meanwhile, yes, I know, the shop isn't still completely set up. Sorry about that. I've got a ton of great stuff, and I'll probably send out an e-mail soon to let people know when it's all set up.
